What makes a French curl braid

A French curl is a knotless braid finished with a defined, springy curl rather than a wave. The curl sits along the length of the braid, which gives the style its soft, dressy silhouette: softer than box braids, more finished than boho.

Frequently asked

How much are French curl braids in Toronto?

At BraidAura in North York, French curl braids start at $140 when you bring your own hair, or $220 with hair included. Size and length choices adjust the final price, which you see before paying.

How many packs of hair do I need for French curls?

If you bring your own hair, 3 to 4 packs covers lengths up to 24 inches. Longer looks need an extra pack. With the hair-included option we supply everything.

Can you wash French curl braids?

Yes. Shampoo the scalp, rinse gently without scrubbing the lengths, avoid disturbing the curl, and let them dry fully.

Should I dip French curl braids in hot water?

Dipping seals synthetic ends so the braid stops unravelling, and it is done as part of the install. Do not re-dip at home in boiling water; it flattens the curl. If your curl drops, book a touch up instead.
